# Quickstart

> Connect a wallet and make your first KovaSwap trade.

  <Step title="Open the app">
    Visit [kovaswap.finance](https://kovaswap.finance). Confirm the URL before connecting.

  <Step title="Connect">
    Select **Connect wallet** and choose a browser wallet or scan the WalletConnect QR code from a supported mobile wallet.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Choose a network">
    Select a supported network. KovaSwap can request that your wallet switch networks or add the network configuration.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Choose tokens and amount">
    Paste verified token contract addresses, enter the amount to pay, and review the quoted output, route, pool fee, and slippage.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Approve and swap">
    If required, approve the input token, then confirm the swap. Wait for the transaction receipt before treating the trade as complete.
  </Step>

To end a session, open the connected account button and select **Disconnect
wallet**. Disconnecting removes the active KovaSwap connection; it never moves
funds or changes wallet ownership.

  Token names and symbols are not unique. The contract address is the token identity.
